Acuva Technologies was founded by Manoj Singh and Fariborz Taghipour who met and realized they shared the same vision and mission to make the world a better place. Their shared goal is to improve access to basic human needes such as clean water and air, vith UV technology as the main driver.
Fariborz, a professor of chemical and biological engineering at the University of British Columbia, was interested in developing ultraviolet technology for environmental applications. Recognizing the great potential of UV-LEDs, he began working on UV-LED technology.
